New Year’s resolutions tend to fade.
That’s why we need to take them anew every single year.
In Buddhism we don’t make new year’s resolutions.
We make vows, to ourselves.
A contract with ourselves.

We make vows, as these do not break as quickly as resolutions.

I also find that vows take different notions than resolutions.
If a resolution is “to go on a diet”, a vow would be “to be/keep healthy”.

This year I vow to give time for service and deepen my
practice.
What’s your vow?

Happy Tuesday
