Art is Fashion is Art

As it is in human nature, we think we invented it all.

Art has been an inspiration for Fashion since very early days.

The collaboration in these photos is from 1970. The Israeli designer Maya Negri has an interesting take on it in her innovative collection for Spring 2016 which will be presented at the Atelier show in NY next week.

Fine waves with a feel of metal threads swirling in an endless wave. The outcome has the effect of bold pattern yet also a translucent transparency. Black & White is a winner. It was and it will be. It is always surprisingly effective and attractive.

Maya Negri’s take on her prints is to give us also silver and gold with touches of color in her fluid and beautiful jerseys.
